"River" Film Screening & Conversation

  • The Colonial Theatre 2050 Main Street Bethlehem, NH, 03574 United States (map)

Join Connecticut River Conservancy’s Ron Rhodes (Interim Executive Director, Director of Restoration Programs) for a discussion of local rivers followed by a screening of the new film, River.

River is a stunning exploration of the timeless relationship between human civilization and Earth’s rivers, in all their majesty and fragility.

“River does not request your attention. It demands your surrender. Flowing against the current of today’s commercial moviemaking, it’s out to slow the pulse rate and induce a trancelike state of reflection.” Sandra Hall, Sydney Morning Herald

Directors: Jennifer Peedom, Joseph Nizeti, Cast: Willem Dafoe, 1h 15m, NR

The Colonial Theatre’s New Leaf series is created in partnership with Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust and highlights films about the natural world.

Tickets: $12, $10 – Members of The Colonial Theatre and Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust
