Mountain Racing Comes to Sunapee! - June 1st 2025

The Sunapee Scramble will serve as the 2025 USATF National Classic Mountain Championship. The race will serve as the sole selection race for the 2025 US Classic Up/Down Mountain Running Team - one of the four groups of athletes to represent the US in Spain at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships.

The course will start at the base of the mountain, and then follow a service road up to the summit of the mountain. You will then have a speedy descent down Mount Sunapee back to the Base Lodge. For the 2nd lap, the course will use the same service road up the mountain and then it will join into the super technical Newbury Trail all the way to the summit. You will then have another speedy descent down Mount Sunapee back to the Base Lodge.
The race is approx 9.4 miles with 3,250 feet of Vert.
