Maple March Madness

March is maple season! If you’re a maple lover or just curious we have the perfect hike for you. Join Lakes Region Conservation Corp member Miranda Fisher on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Fisher Brooks trailhead for Maple March Madness. As we hike we will identify maple trees and discuss the history and process of making maple syrup.

Maple trees are a symbol of both the environmental and cultural landscape of New England. Dating back to indigenous tradition maple trees have played a central role to life in the region and continue to do so. Deepen your connection with this tradition by learning about everything from the biology to the uses of the maple tree. March can be a long month but our program is sure to sweeten your day!
